Develop IT Audit Survival Skills

Presenters: David Reynolds

Duration: 1 hour

Price: $249 / $199 for Affiliation Members

Given today's regulatory environment, financial institutions cannot afford to ignore the IT audit process.  Whether the audit is being conducted by a third-party or it involves a regulatory examination, the primary key to managing the process is to be properly prepared.  Proper preparation is not a singular event, but an ongoing process- one that requires the involvement of bank personnel,  management, and the  board of directors.

This webinar is intended to provide practical advice for the ongoing process of managing your institution’s IT infrastructure so you can be confident in the established controls, and, therefore, meet the challenges presented by auditors and regulators.  We also will walk you through the typical IT audit process and review how you should properly respond.

The webinar will focus on these key areas:

  • The purpose of audits and examinations
  • The essential IT controls every financial institution should have in place
  • The risk assessment process
  • Policies and procedures
  • What to expect as the audit approaches
  • Responding to the audit questionnaire, onsite auditors, and audit recommendations
  • Audit survival resources
