If you’re like many other financial institutions who are developing mobile banking strategies, you’ve moved past the “it’s just a fad” stage and are somewhere between “where’s the money” and the pending “sonic boom” of deployment. This webinar will fill in the information gaps for you by balancing a discussion of technical components, such as the three primary modes for mobile delivery, with discussions about strategic planning and forecasting for this critical delivery channel.

In addition, this session will cover:

  • Mobile banking basics- convergence of payment systems, smart phone enhancements, shifting demographics, and regulatory expectations
  • Mobile vendor marketplace- from the industry leaders to the boutique vendors
  • Features and capabilities of mobile applications
  • Differences among Gen Y, Gen X, Boomers and Seniors markets in terms of demands and adoption rates
  • Mobile remote deposit and how it can impact your delivery strategy
  • Delivery and strategic options

BIO: Bret Herbert

Bret Herbert is the Technology Practice Manager for Sheshunoff Consulting + Solutions, overseeing the execution of a broad suite of technology-related engagements. Prior to joining Sheshunoff in 2003, he served as Director of Technology Operations for a $1 billion multi-state bank holding company in the Southeast.

Bret has a varied background in a number of functional areas of banking, including consumer lending, branch administration, alternative delivery channel development, network administration, and call center deployment. In addition to being responsible for many technology processes, Bret has also been heavily involved in the marketing of products and services. He brings a unique prospective in combining innovative technology solutions with a focus on improving customer service.

Bret has provided an array of consulting services to banks ranging in size from de novo to $25 billion in assets, and has worked on technology engagements including vendor selection, technology strategic planning, and technology governance assessments. He specializes in bringing Sheshunoff’s vendor selection methodology to core and ancillary system selection engagements, and in combining seemingly incoherent lists of technology projects into well-defined and documented technology plans. Bret also facilitates Sheshunoff’s Technology & Operations Officer Affiliation Program, a forum for sharing ideas designed to move banks toward higher performance through better technology utilization.

In the past, Bret served as an instructor at the School of Banking at the University of Georgia teaching Marketing Technologies. He attended Berry College and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.
