A Records Retention Schedule is an effective tool for safeguarding your institution’s crucial interests and significantly lowering administrative and legal costs. Some institutions seek short-cuts and end up with a retention policy that no one uses because they lack confidence in its completeness and accuracy. An expensive development cycle then repeats itself every few years as the company is buffeted by litigation, regulatory reviews, mergers, acquisitions and growth.

In this webinar, two respected experts in Records Management and eDiscovery will address the records retention and management issues that are pertinent to all size institutions- from community banks to regional banks to credit unions. Don’t miss an excellent opportunity to learn about records retention and its impact on eDiscovery, privacy and efficiency in your institution.

Topics include:

  • The significant benefits of a records retention schedule and policy
  • Expectations of the regulators and litigators regarding records retention
  • How your institution can effectively and efficiently build a retention schedule
  • How a retention schedule can be made relevant in an electronic world
  • Whether an ESI Data Map is a necessary part of a good records retention program
  • How a good records retention program integrates with a legal hold program
  • How to set up a defensible program to get rid of obsolete and redundant information
